Before this shoot, I had the necessary gear to make wedding films, but this one drove me to invest more to tell more of the story through audio, and multiple camera angles on one event (such as the ceremony).

I knew Katie and Colter shared my love of Lord of The Rings, so much so that a song was incorporated into their ceremony. So I incorporated music that was classical, with a touch of fantasy, to reflect their love for that genre of music. And it complimented the day, what was happening, and who they are perfectly.

But my favorite part of the day, as well as the video was the reception. It really felt like a party among family and friends. The atmosphere was light and celebratory. And the dance party before the send-off was legit insane. The whole thing felt like a sample of heaven. Everyone collectively and genuinely celebrating two people and their commitment to one another. All that to say, this was a really beautiful day, and I was happy to capture it and put together Colter and Katie’s wedding film.
